No one needs a reminder that back in 2020 the world came to a screeching halt as COVID-19 ran rampant across the world. It was a hard time for everyone and it was definitely equally a hard time for artists and entertainers alike.
People who rely on the entertainment industry for income had nowhere to go and no outreach or other employment to turn to. Entertainment in 2020 was stopped for the foreseeable future and artists and entertainers were left to figure out how to keep their momentum going even though we were all on lockdown.
With many local artists and entertainers searching for a way to stay relevant, we decided to give a helping hand and with that, The CommUNITY Series was born. This series was to help give an outlet to creatives and create UNITY during the hard times of a pandemic and lockdown.
During this time we were lucky enough to have a studio that was able to be easily switched to completely contactless. We gave local artists and entertainers the opportunity to record in-studio without being in contact with anyone and use that footage to share on their platform as well as sharing it across all of our platforms for all to see.
We were able to highlight artists and entertainers even from the comfort of their own homes as well. This series helped local artists stay relevant during a pandemic, created a supportive community of people who banded together during hard times and focused on UNITY when all seemed lost for those in the entertainment industry and even those who enjoyed the experiences of the entertainment industry.
